There are 3 squads: 'Elite', 'A' and 'B' which all have a purpose within freestyle Combat Karate and they are re-assessed annually.

B Squad

All the students on this squad go through a learning and self-discipline process. At this stage the squad members rarely compete in competitions, but attend them to get the feel and to assess the standard they will be expected to be at when competing. Before a 'B' squad member moves up the ladder they must train at the club regularly, show dedication and have the will to succeed.

A Squad

By the time the students get to this level they are well disciplined, respectful and ready for action. This squad has a learning process, which is to gain experience on the mat competing in outside competitions and being able to take defeat with a very positive attitude and to learn from it.

These members get intense tuition at the clubs and are part/full sponsored by the 100 Club Fund on competition trips (these trips are always good fun). They are also fully funded by the International Fund to train abroad, with the Elite Squad, once a year.

Elite Squad

These squad members are our pride and joy, but are pushed very hard before competitions to maintain their extremely high standards and reputation throughout the country. The Elite Squad members are well looked after with benefits, such as free tracksuits, intense tuition and part/full sponsorship by the 100 Fund Club.

The members of this squad are expected to give 100% commitment to Freestyle Combat karate as they are fully sponsored by the International Fund to train and compete internationally!
